Houston I hope we don’t have a problem

Tonight’s America’s Got Talent was just jam packed with, well, talent. I haven’t given up faith and hope that Jessica will advance to the top 10 but I must say, I can’t count 10 bad acts. Particularly on tonight’s show the only one I don’t see moving forward is Kaitlyn. The other nine acts had top 10 written all over them. Maybe, just maybe, the dance group Sick Step won’t make it. And maybe, just maybe, that singing family that I can’t remember their name won’t make it either. Other than that, we have a tough night ahead of us tomorrow. I was a little surprised that Sarah Lenore didn’t perform better but I think she was victimized by the same “need to sing things that don’t fit me” thing that Jessica was up against. Anyway, let’s all keep our fingers crossed for tomorrow night. I’m confident that if Jessica ekes out a top 10 spot, she will come out swinging on her next performance!!

I thought the way Jerry Springer worded it last night that five from Tuesday would move ahead and five from Wednesday. Is this true or is it the top ten overall? If it is five from each night, Jessica has a good chance. Last night’s talent was by far better than Tuesday night though. I am hoping that with five from last night it would clear out some of the competition. Is this just wishful thinking on my part?

Hey, this is John Gonzalez from the Grand Rapids Press, and you are correct, there will be a Top 5 from Tuesday and a Top 5 from Wednesday, and those two will be merged into a Top 10. Please check out my blog tonight or come back here.

Phewwww….and I thought it was the top 10 of a combination of both nights. Now I can rest much better as I know Jessica will make it to the next round. Reeeeaaallllyyyyy, important that she knock em’ dead in the Top 10 though!!!

Thanks for the clarification and thanks to John for stopping by!! I like reading your blog !

Yeah, I hate to say it but I think the competition field has tightened up considerably. I honestly don’t know if Jessica will make it much farther. She has had a good run, however, and its important to keep in mind that even if she does get eliminated at this late stage of America’s Got Talent, that she has already made her mark on the music world and is basically guaranteed a huge record deal.

When it came down to Piers making the decision, we knew she had it in the bag. Although my heart was pounding like I was running a marathon! WAY TO GO JES!

Wow…. Jessica made it to Top 10.
However, I want to see her return to what she was during the first audition..pick a song that *she* likes and sing it with emotion.. I just hope that the producers pick a nice song for her to sing.. She has loads of talent and she can win.

    Hi all,
I will have more in my blog soon. But I’m thinking Jessica still has a chance at Top 5. How did the Frank Sinatra guy make it through?
Hey, I hope you don’t mind, but you can Follow me regularly on my Twitter page, http://www.twitter.com/GRGonzo

The Elvis impersonator is a strong contender to make it to the final. Jessica still has a shot though, she is far from out of the game but she is, probably, a little behind the front runners at this stage. That’s okay though, as long as she keeps turning in good performances then she’ll be in the running. I have been really surprised at how good all the remaining acts have been. Whoever wins it will have to earn every inch!

  9. Alyce Says:

Jessica you have a beautiful voice, you sing from your heart and move people as you have me, I love hearing you sing you certainly have a very special gift and we hope you will go far with it, you deserve it!!

Check out http://www.pureamericasgottalent.com. It talks about how Donald Braswell and Nuttin’ But Stringz have already had very successful careers. Nuttin’ But Stringz has been on Leno??? I want someone like Jessica who has not had a lot of formal training, is a raw talent, and does not have a cd already for sale to win this competition. AGT has really twisted some people’s bios for the sympathy vote!

Thanks for the link to my site. I agree with you that I’d love for someone with a little less training and previous to success to win it all. Jessica is the epitome of the type of talent I’d love to see win.
