Came across this video of Jessica Price so I thought I’d share. Appears to be from 2006 when she was singing on stage at what appears to be a small community gathering. I am told that those are two of her close friends on stage, Mitch Myers and Derek Sisson. The video is really poor quality but you can definitely hear that voice! It seems to my untrained ear that she definitely missed a few notes but still sounded great! What do you think??

She hits the high notes very well, there is no question about that. Yes, I concur that the video quality is poor and I also agree that she did miss a few notes. But these are precisely the types of gatherings that aspiring musicians need to cut their teeth and improve for the future. The people gathered there to listen to her know that the quality of her music there would not be quite as good as when she is performing to a bigger audience, but I still think she is demonstrating top notch talent in this clip.

I agree that she did miss a few notes but her talent came across very nicely. This kind of setting could be very distracting for a young performer and I think she gave it a top quality showing. I hope the crowd and audience really appreciated that they were seeing a potential future star and a great performer. I know if I had the chance I would definitely want to be there myself even if her performance wasn’t 100% perfect.
Well, half of the fun is just watching Jessica and I think this video clip kind of has her obscured behind the audience. As far as the musical quality of the clip there are certainly shining moments where her talent comes through really well, but there is also no question she is missing some notes as well. On the whole I wouldn’t rate this as her best stuff, but maybe Noddy is right in saying that this is the type of venue where she needs to perform in order to cut her teeth for the bigger more important engagements.
Her voice is so attractive and had overcome the video quality, tho she missed few notes maybe just the place too crowded.
wow, Jessica Price at 2006. Although i can’t really see that is her in the video, but i can recognize the soul of her voice, it is great.

I agree Kevi, from the location where the camera captured the recording it doesn’t show Jessica as clearly as I’d like, but hey, she really hits some of those high notes well. So I still think it was worth watching and listening to that clip.
I agree with what Noddy said, especially those high notes.
I was there at the Barry County Fair when Jes performed this. They were on a “marginal” sound system at best. The P.A. was crackling.
